Karmak Partners with Carlinville Area Hospital to Host Holiday-Themed Clothing Drive

Carlinville, IL, December 12, 2023 – On December 5th, Karmak partnered with Carlinville Area Hospital and Clinics to host the “Warm Up Our Kids” Clothing Drive to benefit local schoolchildren. The drive-through event was hosted at Karmak Headquarters in Carlinville, IL.

The event saw dozens of vehicles come through the Karmak parking lot with several bags of donations being collected. Donations were loaded into a sleigh that was built from scratch by Eric Pauline, husband of Karmak’s Director of Office Services, Angela Pauline. The materials to build the sleigh were donated by community members, local businesses, and Karmakians alike.​​​​

“I am proud to work at a company that gives back, and we are grateful to be able to provide items to the local schools. No one knows better than a teacher when a child needs new shoes, sweats, or a pair of socks tucked in their backpack” says Jim Allen, President and CEO of Karmak. 

Donators were greeted with hot chocolate and candy canes from Santa and Mrs. Claus as well as Elsa, Olaf, and The Grinch, making for a truly festive event for the city of Carlinville.

This drive was the culmination of Karmak’s charitable giving throughout 2023 to various local organizations including the Carlinville Football Club, The Macoupin County CEO Program, and Project Third Day.

“When I walked into our conference room the next morning, they were sorting through some things to organize donations, and just seeing all the donated items spread out on the tables really moved me. Good people doing good things, selflessly serving others, and doing so with joyful hearts, it’s a beautiful thing and I am humbled by everyone’s generosity of time, money, and support. These items will make an absolute difference to some folks in need” says Allen. 

Karmak’s partnership with Carlinville Area Hospital and Clinics will continue to be prominent, as they plan to make the co-hosted clothing drive an annual event.
